Job summary

Newcastle seeks a Data Governance Manager to design, implement and embed the group-wide Data Governance Framework. You will ensure strong data ownership, high data quality and robust governance across the organisation while supporting a new data platform.

Working with data, technology and business leaders, you will drive governance strategy, establish policies, standards and controls, and promote best practice to maximise the value of the modern data platform.

Qualifications

• Design, implement and embed the Group's enterprise Data Governance Framework.
• Drive data ownership, data quality improvements and governance controls across the organisation.
• Embed Data Ownership and Data Stewardship models and promote governance best practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Business leaders to deliver governance outcomes.
• Identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and define metadata, lineage and retention requirements.
• Establish governance forums and operating models to support regulatory compliance and data-driven decisions.
