Job summary

BBC Studios is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to embed robust data governance and quality practices across the organisation. You will clarify data ownership, support standards and controls, improve metadata and documentation, and help colleagues use data confidently and responsibly.

Working with business, data and platform teams, you will strengthen accountability, enable teams to derive value from data and collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement governance principles across data

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance within a large or complex organisation.
• Proven experience developing data domain structures and ownership models.
• Strong knowledge of data management and metadata principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the BBC Studios Data Governance framework and standards.
• Establish clear data ownership and accountability with domain owners.
• Provide advice on data governance and data quality for complex org.
• Promote data governance through education, metadata guidance, and documentation.
• Use data tools and reporting to improve accessibility and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Platform and tech teams to embed governance into systems.
• Support day-to-day governance operations, including handling the team mailbox.
