Job summary

Places for People, the UK's leading Social Enterprise, is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build and continuously improve our Microsoft Fabric data platform. You’ll create a trusted foundation for reporting, customer insight and analytics across the business.

You'll work with Data & Insight, CRM, IT and Customer teams to deliver reliable data products, maintain data quality and governance, and support better decision-making. A basic DBS check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and supporting production data pipelines, data platforms or analytical data products.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering.
• Strong SQL skills, with Python and/or PySpark for data engineering solutions.
• Experience implementing source control, CI/CD processes and release management for data solutions.
• Proven experience integrating data from APIs, databases, files and third-party platforms with data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and continuously improve data pipelines and models.
• Maintain the single customer view, data governance and security.
• Collaborate with Data & Insight, CRM, IT and Customer teams to deliver business-ready data products.
• Contribute to platform optimisation, automation, testing and release management.
