Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop and support modern data platforms and integrations using Microsoft Fabric. You will build scalable data pipelines, govern data solutions and enable trusted information for reporting and analytics across the organisation.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver secure, reliable data solutions and participate in our digital transformation programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar data-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse).
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with PySpark experience.
• Experience with OneLake, Delta tables and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience developing/integrating APIs using OAuth and Entra ID.
• Knowledge of data architecture, governance and security principles.
• Experience implementing engineering best practices including testing, deployment and support processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and support secure integrations between business applications and systems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and transformation workflows using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and manage Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions (OneLake, Delta tables, SQL, PySpark).
• Deliver scalable, governed data solutions to support reporting and analytics.
• Monitor platform performance via logging, alerting and troubleshooting.
• Ensure security, governance and compliance across data platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement across data engineering, analytics and integration capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers.
