Job summary

Nexus Careers Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to join a major facilities management provider for a prestigious data centre, with opportunities across Slough and Hayes. You will lead the shift engineering team, stay hands-on with operation, maintenance and reliability of critical M&E infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience leading an engineering team.
• Good knowledge of permit-to-work and safe isolation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Shift Technicians across a live data centre environment.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across critical M&E systems.
• Respond to plant faults, alarms and technical incidents with escalation.
• Support operation of UPS systems, generators, LV/HV distribution, switchgear, cooling systems, BMS.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and shift handovers.
• Ensure permits, isolations and safe systems of work.
