Job summary

PRS is seeking an experienced Data Centre Shift Manager to lead a live 24/7 engineering team at a premier data centre campus in the Slough/Windsor area. You will own maintenance activities, incident response, and safety compliance for critical electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires strong technical leadership, with HV AP status favored and prior data centre experience essential to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification and HV experience are essential.
• Experience leading teams in live data centre environments.
• Strong fault-finding and incident management capability.
• Experience supervising contractors and coordinating activities within live operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering shift team in a live Data Centre environment.
• Coordinate planned preventive maintenance and reactive works.
• Ensure maximum uptime of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Act as technical escalation point during incidents and emergencies.
• Operate as High Voltage Authorised Person where applicable and manage Permit to Work.
• Mentor engineers and drive safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
