PRS is seeking an experienced Data Centre Shift Manager to lead a live 24/7 engineering team at a premier data centre campus in the Slough/Windsor area. You will own maintenance activities, incident response, and safety compliance for critical electrical and mechanical systems.
The role requires strong technical leadership, with HV AP status favored and prior data centre experience essential to drive reliability and continuous improvement.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Centre Shift Manager to join a leading provider of mission-critical engineering and facilities services, supporting a state-of-the-art data centre campus in Slough/Windsor area.
This is a key leadership position responsible for managing an engineering shift team operating within a 24/7 critical environment. You'll take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance activities, lead incident response, oversee safe systems of work and ensure the continuous operation of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership experience and ideally hold High Voltage Authorised Person (HV AP) status.
Reporting into the Engineering Management team, you'll provide technical leadership across your shift, ensuring engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with operational procedures and service level agreements.
You'll coordinate engineers, specialist contractors and planned maintenance programmes whilst acting as the primary technical escalation point during your shift. This role also includes responsibility for incident management, permit control, team development and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance within a live mission-critical environment.
We're looking for an experienced Critical Facilities Engineer or Shift Leader with a strong technical background and proven experience leading engineering teams within mission-critical environments.
