Job summary

AECOM is seeking a chartered Principal Electrical Engineer to lead data centre electrical design from London Aldgate Tower. The role requires strong project leadership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and a track record of delivering complex electrical systems for hyperscale facilities.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients, project managers, and contractors, and ensure designs meet regulatory standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate experience in building services design with data centres.
• Strong collaboration with multi-discipline teams and clients.
• Proven ability to lead electrical design on large data centre projects.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and RIBA plan of work stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data centre projects and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Provide technical input to studies and design work within area of expertise.
• Prepare contract documents and project specifications.
• Estimate costs and manage project budgets.
• Manage workload and meet deadlines; produce technical reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and present solutions to clients.
