Job summary

Oyster Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Equipment Sales Engineer with a background in HVAC or refrigeration for the Data Centre sector. You will identify opportunities, manage a technical sales process, and partner with engineering teams to deliver tailored cooling solutions.

The role requires strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills, plus a commercial focus to meet targets. A UK driving licence and proficiency with CRM and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or business development, ideally from Data Centre's with HVAC or refrigeration expertise.
• Knowledge of data centre cooling equipment and temperature control systems would be advantageous
• An engineering qualification or relevant technical experience
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
• A commercially focused approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and meet sales targets
• Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• A full, clean UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Target and engage potential Data Centre customers requiring HVAC and process cooling equipment
• Create and implement sales strategies to generate quality leads
• Research market trends and maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools
• Conduct site visits and provide technical guidance to prospective clients
• Work alongside engineering and project management teams on solution design
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through ongoing support
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and performance tracking
• Ensure compliance with ethical frameworks while achieving business objectives
