Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Centre Engineer for Data Centre Solutions in Swindon.

You will deliver operational services across Vodafone Cloud & Security Data centres, supporting deployment and in-life activities including cabling, racking, and patching in a 24/7 rota. You will work in a four-person shifts team, manage Remedy/ServiceNow tickets, and ensure compliance with Data Centre standards and safety regulations while building strong relationships with Facilities Managers and client

Qualifications

• Experience in operational Data Centre environments and rack/cabinet work.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical Data Centre configurations.
• SC clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-scheduled and reactive Data Centre operations.
• Plan space and cabinet utilization; prepare quotations.
• Mount servers, storage and network gear in cabinets.
• Install Data Centre cabling per design docs and standards.
• Manage Remedy/ServiceNow tickets within SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Contribute to governance activities and incident investigations.
• Report accurately and on time; participate in on-call roster.
• Build relationships with Facilities Managers and client staff.
