AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access for our customers. Join a diverse team of engineers, security experts, operations managers, and more, working on challenging problems and supporting a culture of safety, security, and innovation.

As a Data Center Facility Manager at Amazon Web Services, you will manage the world's largest cloud infrastructure, solve complex problems, and lead a team of data center experts and technicians. We are looking for a Facility Manager in the Berkshire / West London area.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Ensuring adherence to and exceeding Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers
  2. Managing and developing engineering teams, providing technical and leadership expertise
  3. Maintaining operational excellence in existing Amazon Data Centers
  4. Supporting the build and commissioning of new Data Centers
  5. Improving processes and procedures continually
  6. Managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
  7. Collaborating with internal teams and management
  8. Creating and using metrics to drive improvements
  9. Implementing service management methodologies such as incident, problem, change, and capacity management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in critical Data Centre Operations (feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU, chillers, pumps, air handling units)
  • Proven people management and team development experience
  • Problem-solving skills with a broad understanding of context
  • Experience working in data centers or mission-critical environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced electrical or mechanical qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or similar)
  • Full EU/UK driving license
