Role: Electrical & Mechanical Engineer - West London Park Royal

We are looking for experienced shift engineers to join our team and contribute their transferable skills to support our customers and drive our business forward. As a shift engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and equipment. We seek individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. What will you do?
  • Facility Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the seamless operation of our facility infrastructure through diligent maintenance practices.
  • Site Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct regular site inspections and monitor building and data centre alarms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Oversee and execute hands-on preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, either directly or through vendor management, including managing the permit to work system. (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems. HV switching experience preferred)
  • Repairs & Corrective Maintenance: Perform and manage repairs and corrective maintenance on critical equipment to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Planned Maintenance: Prepare and execute planned maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive site logs and data records, including MOPs (Method of Procedure) and scripts.
  • Incident Response: Assist senior staff in responding to on-site incidents and take initiative in handling basic incidents based on your expertise.
  • Work Requests & Installations: Complete basic work requests and circuit installations efficiently.
  • Infrastructure Projects: Participate actively in ongoing infrastructure projects to enhance our facilities.
  • Works Projects: Execute works projects to improve site functionality.
Who are you?
  • Educational Background: ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings is beneficial.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems. HV switching experience preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
