Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in Bracknell is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to operate and maintain critical electrical and mechanical equipment in AWS data centers. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot incidents, and support data center operations to ensure high uptime.

The role requires a UK national and clearance eligibility, with no shift work. Ideal candidates have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering with data center experience, strong safety

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment in data centers or similar critical facilities.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and life safety systems in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks: filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, PDU, ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Centre Operations technicians.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
