Amazon Data Services UK Limited seeks a Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will lead engineering projects, review designs, and troubleshoot failures while collaborating with operations, construction, and design teams to improve capacity, reliability and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews, including critical equipment and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions to add capacity and improve availability.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams to promote standards.
• Work on concurrent projects across multiple regions.
• Lead engineering audits including on-site visits and produce risk mitigation reports.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
