Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer (Field Engineering) to provide full lifecycle support for AWS Data Centers from design through site upgrade and maintenance. The role involves leading data center upgrade projects, troubleshooting complex equipment, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and efficiency.

You will split time between office and field work across multiple data center sites in the UK, requiring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in industrial or critical facilities incl. data centers.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Be the go-to engineering resource for your region and provide technical guidance.
Review design and equipment submittals for new data centers.
Troubleshoot, perform RCA, and document corrective actions.
Support operational issues with training and SOP reviews.
Lead conceptual design for data center upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency.
Coordinate with operations, design, and safety teams to ensure reliability.
