Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in the United Kingdom seeks an on-site Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician to maintain critical electrical, mechanical, and safety equipment within AWS facilities.

The role covers hands-on operation of generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, AHU, pumps, and building automation, with a focus on uptime and safety. Collaboration with Data Centre Ops and incident response is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in relevant work.
• Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
• Physically capable to perform hands-on maintenance tasks all day.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, PDU/ATS replacements).
• Provide support to Data Centre Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
