Job summary

Mercury Engineering, a European leader in construction solutions, seeks a Project Manager to lead complex data centre upgrade projects. You will ensure safety, schedule and budget are met across multiple sites, coordinating with clients and subcontractors to deliver on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience, deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical data centre systems, and proven vendor management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Detailed understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centres.
• Experience in Health & Safety risk assessments and control measures.
• Vendor management experience and ability to monitor progress toward objectives.
• Experience in Project Management principles and delivering DC upgrade works.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work abroad as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reporting on status, schedule and costs.
• Maintain a register of all projects and monitor status.
• Ensure conformance with Mercury’s safety rules and client requirements.
• Vet and manage subcontractors and ensure invoicing aligns with schedule.
• Guide project teams and coordinate across multiple sites.
• Monitor resources and ensure execution plans and milestones exist.
• Report monthly status in internal and client meetings.
