Job summary

Construct Recruitment is seeking a Contracts Manager for data centre environments in the City of London. This site-based role covers multiple mechanical projects and small works within live data centre environments, requiring client-facing, commercially sharp delivery across the full project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical contracts management experience, data centre exposure, and a track record of delivering several projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical contracts manager or project management experience in construction.
• Experience in data centres, critical environments or complex live environments.
• Track record delivering multiple projects concurrently.
• End-to-end delivery from design to handover.
• Strong commercial awareness including variations and risk.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts, CDM and governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple mechanical projects and smaller works across the data centre portfolio.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as key contact.
• Coordinate with internal design, estimating and commercial teams, plus external consultants and subcontractors.
• Manage project programmes, milestones and risks; chair project meetings.
• Maintain commercial oversight - manage variations, delays and contractual risks with QS/Commercial team.
• Lead by example on HSEQ and project governance.
