Job summary

Nisbets is seeking a Data & BI Developer to turn data into decisions. Based at the Fourth Way office in Avonmouth with hybrid work after training, you will build Power BI reports, develop data models, and collaborate across IT, Finance and other teams to enable trusted insights.

You’ll combine analysis with governance and user enablement to improve reporting and data quality, shaping standards for deployment and security.

Qualifications

Power BI, Power Query and DAX expertise.
SQL and relational DB skills.
Data warehousing and star schema modelling.
Translate business needs into practical reporting.
Data validation with accuracy focus.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

Build and improve Power BI reports and dashboards to enable informed decisions.
Work with stakeholders to understand problems, not just requests.
Develop data models, measures and calculations using Power Query and DAX.
Use SQL to explore, validate and reconcile data from systems and the data warehouse.
Identify trends and opportunities across diverse data sources.
Improve data quality and fix issues at source.
Simplify reporting, reduce duplication and improve consistency.
Help set standards for reporting, governance, security and deployment.
