Job summary

USP College is seeking an experienced MIS Reporting & Automation Officer to develop and enhance the College's reporting, automation and data quality infrastructure.

You will use SQL, Power BI and automation tools to deliver reliable reporting, improve data quality, automate manual tasks and provide robust management information that supports funding, compliance and operational performance. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to influence decision making across the College.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 3 qualification (or equivalent relevant experience) and English and Maths Level 2.
• Essential: Experience using SQL to query, analyse and transform data.
• Essential: Experience producing management or operational reporting.
• Essential: Experience investigating and resolving data quality issues.
• Essential: Experience documenting technical processes and controls.
• Essential: Experience working in education or a regulated environment.
• Essential: Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Essential: Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL-based data solutions, reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Improve data quality by automated validation, monitoring and controls.
• Streamline processes by replacing manual tasks with automated solutions.
• Produce and maintain reporting across learner data, enrolment, attendance, curriculum performance, funding and outcomes.
• Investigate and resolve complex data issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support system integrations, data transfers and technical documentation.
