Job summary

MetLife UK is seeking a Senior Data and Reporting Analyst to join the Data, MI & Automation team. You will own critical MI, modernise reporting using Power BI and Power Platform, and automate manual processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business and contribute to the evolution of our data capability.

You will engage in governance, data lineage, and quality controls, while delivering timely, reliable insights and enabling self-service reporting through governed BI assets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MI, reporting and BI with independent ownership of reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with legacy VBA-based reporting is advantageous.
• Strong Power BI capability, including complex reports, data models and DAX measures.
• Knowledge of Power Query and automating reporting/data prep processes.
• Working knowledge of SQL for multi-source data validation.
• Experience moving reports from manual to automated, governed solutions.
• Good understanding of reporting governance and data lineage.
• Strong stakeholder communication translating business needs to clear solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own, produce and deliver accurate recurring MI and business-critical reporting.
• Improve and modernise the reporting estate and automate processes.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports, datasets, and data models to enterprise standards.
• Automate data prep, refresh and report distribution using Power Query/Power Automate.
• Handle ad hoc data requests while balancing BAU delivery.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Maintain documentation of report definitions, data sources and lineage.
