Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Technology Data Assurance Team Lead to own and mature data governance practices, oversee DSARs, information rights and compliance obligations. You will lead a four-analyst team, drive risk management and work with Legal, DPO and stakeholders to ensure robust data handling across the organisation.

The role requires strong governance acumen, customer-focused mindset and ability to deliver high standards of service in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with system access governance and DSAR handling.
• Understanding of information rights and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with regulated environments (utilities, financial services, healthcare or public sector).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of DSARs and data rights requests.
• Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and regulatory timescales.
• Maintain high standards of data protection, redaction and exemptions.
• Manage team caseloads, set priorities and track deadlines.
• Collaborate with Legal, DPO and stakeholders on complex cases.
• Build relationships across the business to support data and information management.
• Promote a collaborative approach to data rights across operational teams.
