Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Technology Data Assurance Team Lead to join our Office of Data. You will own data governance, oversee Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and ensure responsible, transparent handling of personal data.

Lead a team of four analysts to maintain high standards of service, risk management and regulatory compliance. You will work across Legal, the Data Protection Officer and stakeholders to meet obligations, driving improvements while fostering trusted relationships and

Qualifications

• Experience with system access governance and access recertification.
• Strong understanding of information security frameworks and audits.
• Experience in regulated environments (utilities, financial services, healthcare or public sector).
• Customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead DSARs and other data rights requests to ensure secure, accurate handling.
• Maintain UK GDPR compliance and manage regulatory timescales.
• Oversee disclosures with proper redaction and clear exemptions evidenced.
• Manage team caseloads, deadlines, and risks with visibility.
• Collaborate with Legal, DPO and stakeholders on complex cases.
• Build relationships across the business to facilitate data requests and obligations.
• Drive collaborative data rights processes for operational teams.
