Job summary

Arbuthnot Latham is a private and commercial banking group seeking a senior Data Governance lead to drive governance across data, compliance and risk. You will lead the Data Quality team and embed a mature operating model for data ownership and stewardship.

You will work with IT and business units to implement governance, define policies, monitor KPIs, and promote data literacy while ensuring GDPR and PRA/FS regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Strong governance and data quality experience in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and data protection acts.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Quality team to identify and remediate data integrity risks.
• Define and implement the data governance regime and operating model.
• Mentor data owners and stewards to promote accountability for data quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and business to embed governance into processes.
• Develop metric-based monitoring for governance progress and maturity.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, FCA/PRA and related data regulations.
