Job summary
The University of Birmingham is seeking an experienced analytics professional to join the Data and Analytics Team as an Executive Support role. You will develop and maintain cloud-based analytics solutions using Power BI, Snowflake, dbt, and related tools to support institutional planning and performance management.
Reporting to the Data and Systems Manager, you will collaborate with IT Services and Planning teams, building robust data models and automated reports to drive decision making across
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Power BI certified or extensive BI/report experience with BI tools including Tableau and SAP BOBJ.
- Experience creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, Power Query and implementing row-level security in Power BI.
- Experience extracting and transforming data using SQL, Snowflake, Alteryx or dbt.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics in Power BI and Tableau.
- Translate data into actionable insights for institutional decisions.
- Maintain data pipelines and collaborate with IT Services to ensure data quality.
- Support budgeting, planning and student recruitment target processes in Cognos TM1.
