Our credit risk team plays a crucial role during this volatile period in the energy sector, supporting customers struggling with bills. We are looking to expand this team with a new role that combines:

1. Strong data analytics skills
2. A deep understanding of customer and business needs
3. Close collaboration with tech teams to solve customer problems efficiently at scale
4. Coordination with operations teams who communicate directly with customers

What you'll do

• Manage customers facing payment difficulties
• Conduct deep data investigations to surface insights for decision-making
• Enhance reporting using the latest BI tools and technology
• Develop empathetic approaches for vulnerable customers
• Create strategies to identify and prevent fraud
• Develop machine learning models and policies for sophisticated decision-making
• Identify new opportunities proactively
• Challenge existing KPIs, objectives, and strategies
• Communicate complex data concepts effectively
• Build relationships across Data Science, Technology, Finance, Collections, Operations, and other stakeholders

What you'll need

• Excellent SQL skills
• A problem-solving drive using data
• Proficiency with Python data science stack (pandas, NumPy, Jupyter, Plotly/matplotlib, etc)

Bonus skills include:

• Familiarity with Git
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
• Knowledge of DBT
• 2-5 years experience in consumer credit risk or collections in financial services, utilities, or telecom industries
