Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Field Engineering professional to engage clients across the UK, demonstrate the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, and drive architectural adoption. You will collaborate with Account Executives to deliver customer value and scalable solutions.

You will build reference architectures, lead workshops, and act as a hands‑on technical advisor on modern data and AI architectures, including cloud platforms and PoCs.

Qualifications

• Experienced in solutions architecture, technical consulting, or pre‑sales with hands‑on problem solving.
• Strong in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, AI/ML, GenAI, AI Agents, or application development with interest in adjacent areas.
• Exposure to CDP/Martech or cybersecurity is valuable but not required.
• Ability to engage customers in technical sales and guide clear outcomes.
• Develop customer relationships and collaborate with account executives.
• Experience coding in Python/SQL and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands‑on with cloud platforms and validation work like prototypes or PoCs.
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients, delivering technical and business value with Account Executives.
• Act as an expert in big data analytics to champion Databricks architecture and adoption.
• Create reference architectures, how‑tos, and demos to scale best practices.
• Lead workshops and meetups to grow the Databricks community in the region.
• Advise on modern data and AI architectures on the Databricks platform.
