Job summary

Milk Education is partnering with a North Tyneside-based 11-18 secondary school to recruit an Unqualified Teacher on a full-time basis. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining an engaging classroom, and supporting students to meet objectives.

Ideal for graduates or those with experience working with young people, you will foster inclusion, provide feedback to staff, and contribute to safeguarding and behavioural expectations within the school.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree-level.
  • Recent experience working with young people within the last two years.
  • Genuine passion for education and working with children.
  • Solid literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence leading groups of students.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff.
  • A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Unqualified Teacher

Location: North Tyneside

Working hours: 8.30 am-3.45 pm Monday to Friday

Milk Education are currently working in partnership with a fantastic 11-18 secondary school that is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to join their staff team on a full-time basis.

The role of an Unqualified Teacher is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a school setting.

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will cover lessons during the absence of main teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task with the work provided. You will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, maintaining high expectations of behaviour and supporting student learning.

You will work across a variety of subject areas and year groups, gaining valuable experience within a supportive and welcoming secondary school environment.

Unqualified Teacher Key Responsibilities:
