Job summary

Regen Solutions is seeking a Damp and Mould Operative to join our South London team, delivering damp and mould remediation in occupied and void social housing. A van and fuel card are provided, with a permanent role offering job security and the chance to improve residents’ homes across South London.

You will inspect damp and mould conditions, perform remedial work, and carry out painting/decorating to a professional standard while adhering to health and safety regulations and communicating

Qualifications

• Knowledge of damp and mould treatment in residential properties.
• Experience working in social housing or similar environments is desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards, especially in occupied homes.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out remedial works to address damp and mould issues in social housing properties, including cleaning, treating affected areas, and applying anti-mould coatings.
• Undertake painting and decorating works internally and externally to a high standard.
• Prepare surfaces (sanding, filling, sealing) before painting or treatment.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with tenants to explain works and minimise disruption.
• Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles in good condition.
• Accurately record all completed works using handheld devices or work orders.
• Work as part of a wider maintenance team to deliver excellent customer service.
