Job summary

Randstad CPE in Bracknell is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator with damp, mould and condensation expertise to join their reactive and planned maintenance team. You will carry out specialist mould treatments, ventilation surveys, and decorating works in occupied homes, aiming for a right-first-time finish.

You'll need a proven decorating background, NVQ/City & Guilds in painting, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to work an out-of-hours rota.

Qualifications

• Proven background as a Painter & Decorator with damp/mould experience.
• Positive, reliable, customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating (or time-served equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

Painter & Decorator (Damp & Mould Specialist)

Location: Bracknell

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: 35k + Company Van, Fuel Card & Call-Out Options

Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator with specialist knowledge in damp, mould, and condensation treatments?

We are recruiting for a reputable leading housing and maintenance provider looking for a customer-focused Painter & Decorator / Specialist Operative to join their reactive and planned maintenance team in the region.

You will deliver high-quality damp remediation, ventilation surveys, and associated decorating works directly in occupied residential properties, taking pride in leaving homes safe, clean, and right the first time.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Carrying out specialist mould treatments, ventilation surveys, and associated decorating works.
• Delivering a high-quality, "right-first-time" service inside customers' homes.
• Keeping residents informed throughout the process, providing an excellent customer service experience.
• Managing materials efficiently and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
• Working collaboratively with office schedulers, supervisors, and site colleagues to improve living conditions across the housing portfolio.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven background as a Painter & Decorator with hands-on experience in damp, mould, or stain-blocking treatments.
• A positive, reliable, and customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating (or Time-Served equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
• You will need to supply your own basic hand and power tools (all large equipment/specialist gear provided).
