Job summary

Proactive Global in Hitchin is seeking an experienced Cylindrical Grinder for a permanent role at a market-leading manufacturing company. You will set up and operate the cylindrical grinding machine, with progression opportunities available.

The role requires competence in external diameter grinding and accuracy with micrometres, Vernier calipers, bore gauges and dial indicators; IT skills are also required for general shop-floor systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in external diameter grinding and using precise measuring tools (micrometres, Vernier callipers, bore gauges, dial indicators).
• Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• IT competent (general use).

Job description

Position: Cylindrical Grinder

Location: Hitchin

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-12pm

Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Cylindrical Grinder for a client based in Hitchin. This is a permanent role working for a market leading manufacturing company offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

Duties include:

• Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machine
• The successful candidate must have experience in external diameter grinding and working with micrometres, Vernier callipers, bore gauges and dial indicators.
• Proven experience working within a similar role
• Past experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• IT competent (general use).
