Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited in Hitchin is seeking an experienced Cylindrical Grinder for a permanent role with a market-leading manufacturer. The position offers progression opportunities and stability within a busy production environment.

You will set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines, with proven experience in external diameter grinding and in using micrometres, Vernier calipers, bore gauges and dial indicators. IT competence and a calm, precise approach are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in external diameter grinding and using micrometres, Vernier calipers, bore gauges and dial indicators.
• IT competent and able to operate general computer tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience in Cylindrical Grinding within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Work with micrometres, Vernier calipers, bore gauges and dial indicators to ensure precision.
• Maintain productivity in a busy manufacturing environment.

Job description

Position: Cylindrical Grinder

Location: Hitchin

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-12pm,

Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Cylindrical Grinder for a client based in Hitchin. This is a permanent role working for a market leading manufacturing company offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

Duties include:

• Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machine
• The successful candidate must have experience in external diameter grinding and working with micrometres, Vernier callipers, bore gauges and dial indicators.
• Proven experience working within a similar role
• Past experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

• IT competent (general use).
