Job summary

Proofpoint in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned Professional Services Manager who will act as a technical and strategic adviser to assigned customers, maximizing the value of Proofpoint products and managed services.

You will own customer relationships, lead governance meetings, and drive security program maturity while identifying opportunities to expand the customer’s defense posture across email, cloud, and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in professional services, client services, sales engineering, senior technical support or similar technical role.
• Experience across multiple technology areas and domains.
• Understanding of email, networking and data-communication technologies.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to resolve conflict and approach problems from multiple perspectives.
• Experience in or supporting a 24/7 security operations environment.
• Ability to communicate evolving cybersecurity threats to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and nurture relationships with assigned strategic customers.
• Lead recurring customer meetings covering service performance and status.
• Develop and maintain 12-month customer program roadmaps.
• Identify short- and long-term security program goals.
• Track roadmap deliverables, risks and deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance on Proofpoint products, features and functionality.
• Coordinate complex production changes involving multiple services.
• Manage customer escalations and advocate for resolution.
• Monitor customer cases for progress and SLA compliance.
• Help customers mature their security posture and demonstrate value.
• Ensure delivery aligns with SOPs and Proofpoint best practices.
