Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Belfast is seeking a Customs Coordinator to join our growing team, supporting import and export activity across Northern Ireland, the UK, and wider Europe.

You will prepare and process accurate customs declarations, review shipping documents, and maintain data across CargoWise and related systems to ensure compliant and timely movement of goods. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in customs administration or coordination is preferred.
• Strong data entry and administrative skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with UK/NI/EU customs rules is advantageous.

YOUR ROLE

Our growing Customs team based in Belfast is looking for a Customs Coordinator to join our operation, supporting customers across Northern Ireland as well as our wider European teams through our developing shared service centre.

You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day import and export customs process, preparing and processing customs declarations and helping customers move goods compliantly and efficiently across the UK, Northern Ireland, Europe and wider international markets.

This role works on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, with 12-hour late shifts typically operating between 10:00–22:00, 11:00–23:00 or 12:00–00:00, depending on operational requirements. We are offering a salary of £29,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Customs Management Team Leader, you will support a varied customer base across a range of import and export customs activity. You will prepare and process accurate customs declarations in line with customer instructions, company procedures and current UK, Northern Ireland and EU customs regulations. You will support customs activity across key flows including GB to Northern Ireland and EU movements, as well as raising IC2 safety and security declarations where required.

Day to day, you will review and process customs and shipping documentation, enter and maintain accurate data across customs and logistics systems, and ensure declarations are completed within agreed KPIs and customer SLAs. You will monitor customs activity and proactively resolve documentation, clearance or data issues, escalating more complex compliance matters where required. Customer service will also form a key part of the role. You will communicate regularly with customers, hauliers, freight forwarders and internal CEVA teams, responding to queries, providing updates and supporting the smooth movement of goods. You will maintain accurate customer and customs records, update internal log files and systems and support general account administration. The team currently works across systems including CargoWise, Steam Liner and eCustoms, so previous experience of customs or freight systems would be advantageous.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application, you will ideally have experience within customs administration or coordination, or a related logistics environment. You will need strong data entry and administrative skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently at pace. Attention to detail is essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow defined processes and work to agreed deadlines and service levels.

We are open to candidates from a broad logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, customs, shipping, compliance, finance or billing background, ideally gained within a fast-paced operational environment. Experience or knowledge of Northern Ireland customs processes, post-Brexit compliance requirements, IC2 or UK/EU customs regulations would be beneficial.
