Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator in Bradford. You will join a well-established freight forwarder and manage customs documentation from start to finish.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in customs clearance, strong knowledge of UK procedures, and proficiency with CargoWise. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in customs clearance or a related freight forwarding role.
• Knowledge of UK customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Experience handling road freight customs entries (essential).
• Experience using CargoWise would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing customs declarations, primarily for Road Freight imports.
• Handling Export Road, Import Sea Freight and Export Sea Freight customs entries.
• Assisting with Air Freight customs entries where required.
• Liaising with customers to understand their customs clearance requirements and provide proactive support.
• Resolving customs-related queries and communicating directly with HMRC where necessary.
• Managing your own files from start to finish, including costing and invoicing.
• Ensuring all customs entries are completed accurately and in line with current customs regulations.

The Role

Working within the Customs Clearance department, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of freight across international borders. You'll work closely with customers, providing a high level of service while managing customs documentation from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and processing customs declarations, primarily for Road Freight imports.
• Handling Export Road, Import Sea Freight and Export Sea Freight customs entries.
• Assisting with Air Freight customs entries where required.
• Liaising with customers to understand their customs clearance requirements and provide proactive support.
• Resolving customs-related queries and communicating directly with HMRC where necessary.
• Managing your own files from start to finish, including costing and invoicing.

• Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures and import/export documentation.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Experience using CargoWise would be highly advantageous.
