Job summary

Co-op in Oldham is hiring a Customer Team Member to join a friendly team in a busy store. The role involves varied shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and at least one weekend shift, with in-store bakery and potential post office duties.

Full, paid training is provided, and you will help deliver essential services to your community. You'll assist on tills, shelves, prices, and stock, ensuring a great shopping experience while promoting Co-op membership and community

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly
• Work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy
• Make sure the store safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be
• Promote Co‑op Membership and support your local community
