Job summary

Co-op is seeking Customer Team Members for local stores in the UK, with varied shifts including early mornings, afternoons and late evenings, and at least one weekend shift. Training is provided, and duties include working in our in-store bakery or post office as needed to serve customers and support the community.

You’ll be part of a friendly team delivering essential services, stocking shelves, handling tills, and promoting Co-op memberships while building strong ties with local residents.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with a friendly approach.
• Interest in retail; experience not essential.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including mornings/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly service and help resolve issues on the shop floor.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work on the shop floor and tills, and in the bakery, supporting daily operations.
• Ensure shelves are stocked and prices/dates checked for accuracy.
• Maintain safety and legality; keep shelves, prices and dates in check.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.
• Show genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• Flexibly work across shifts and as part of a team.
