Job summary

Jobtailor in Reading, United Kingdom, is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Support / Inside Sales professional to enhance customer relations and support Regional Sales Managers. You will enter orders via ERP, prepare quotes, and resolve service issues, coordinating with production to meet timelines.

You will collaborate across departments, create material lists, and assist with BOM changes, owner’s manuals, and customer submittals. Strong communication and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–3 years in a customer service, inside sales, or other service-related role and a high school diploma
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Proven ability to learn and apply the knowledge gained
• Prior experience using an ERP system a plus
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
• Attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet programs, managing files and records, and other office procedures

Responsibilities

• Develop good customer relations and provide support to Regional Sales Managers and assigned independent sales representatives
• Work with internal departments in a team-based environment to ensure customer needs are met
• Enter orders received via email using the ERP system
• Prepare quotes or assist independent sales representatives with quote preparation using the ERP system
• Resolve customer service issues, including tracking orders, confirming ship dates, issuing returns, coordinating with production, and informing customers of delays
• Provide technical product assistance with support from a Senior Customer Support Specialist
• Create material lists from specification drawings
• Recommend changes to bills of materials
• Complete owner’s manuals and customer submittals
