ADT in Manchester is hiring a Customer Solutions Technician to perform routine inspections and breakdown repairs on CCTV, video doorbell, and intruder alarm systems. You will work in the field, manage workloads to meet daily targets, and receive full paid training, a company van, uniform and tools along with a basic salary and incentive scheme.

Essential: driving licence, ability to work at height, use of hand/power tools, safety-focused and strong communication.

Qualifications

Full UK manual driving licence required.
Ability to climb ladders and work at height.
Practical skills with hand and power tools.
Work safely to avoid injuries and dispose of materials properly.
Reliable, trustworthy and able to work solo or in a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine inspections and breakdown repairs to CCTV, video doorbell and intruder alarm systems.
Meet daily targets and customer expectations with high service levels.
Accurately complete details of works on mobile devices per instructions.
Replace batteries, test panels and ensure proper operation of systems.
Work with the service bureau in line with company procedures.

What you will do

Customer Solutions Technicians are field based and are required to carry out Routine Inspections and breakdown repairs to CCTV, video doorbell and intruder alarm systems to the relevant standards, providing the highest level of customer service, whilst managing workloads to meet and exceed daily targets and customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the Security industry. All of our technicians undergo full paid training. In addition to this you will also receive company van, uniform and tools to do the job with a basic salary and competitive incentive scheme.

How you will do it

To check correct functionality of systems including, but not limited to the following:
To replace all detector batteries where necessary.
To test panel and back-up batteries, replacing where necessary.
To check correct activation of the warning sounders.
To check the system is able to operate normally on the standby batteries.
To check correct operation of all detection devices.
To check correct activation of signalling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre.
To check and clean CCTV and WIFI cameras.
To liaise with the service bureau in line with the Company requirements and procedures.
Accurately complete detail of works on the Mobile Data Device according to work instructions and codes of practice if necessary.

What we look for

Essential

Full UK manual driver's licence.
Have the ability to carry and climb ladders and to work at height.

Ability to work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and to clean up any debris from your work returning faulty and unused equipment for correct disposal.
Be reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated with the ability to work alone as well as in a team.
Have excellent communication, relationship building skills and able to exceed customer expectations.
Be familiar with the use of technology like smartphones, tablets and PCs.
