Johnson Controls is seeking a field-based Customer Solutions Technician to perform routine inspections and breakdown repairs on CCTV, video doorbells and intruder alarm systems. You will provide high-level customer service while managing workloads to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

Full UK manual driver’s licence.
Ability to carry and climb ladders and work at height.
Practical skills to work with hand and power tools.
Able to work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries and dispose of materials properly.
Reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated; able to work alone or in a team.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Familiar with smartphones, tablets and PCs.
Security check will be performed after offer.

Responsibilities

Carry out Routine Inspections and breakdown repairs to CCTV, video doorbell and intruder alarm systems.
Test system operation and ensure correct battery function and signalling.
Replace batteries and check detectors and cameras; liaise with service bureau as required.
Accurately document works on the Mobile Data Device per instructions.

What you will do

Customer Solutions Technicians are field based and are required to carry out Routine Inspections and breakdown repairs to CCTV, video doorbell and intruder alarm systems to the relevant standards, providing the highest level of customer service, whilst managing workloads to meet and exceed daily targets and customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the Security industry. All of our technicians undergo full paid training. In addition to this you will also receive company van, uniform and tools to do the job with a basic salary and competitive incentive scheme.

How you will do it

To check correct functionality of systems including, but not limited to the following:
To replace all detector batteries where necessary.
To test panel and back-up batteries, replacing where necessary.
To check correct activation of the warning sounders.
To check the system is able to operate normally on the standby batteries.
To check correct operation of all detection devices.
To check correct activation of signalling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre.
To check and clean CCTV and WIFI cameras.
To liaise with the service bureau in line with the Company requirements and procedures.
Accurately complete detail of works on the Mobile Data Device according to work instructions and codes of practice if necessary.

What we look for

Have excellent communication, relationship building skills and able to exceed customer expectations.
Be familiar with the use of technology like smartphones, tablets and PCs.
A security check will be performed once an offer has been made to the successful candidate.
