Job summary

Databricks Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) embeds with our most strategic customers to design and deliver custom full-stack data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and application development.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring engineering depth, adaptability, and a drive to solve complex problems that deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background across backend, frontend, and systems integration.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java/Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) into applications.
• Customer-facing delivery with enterprise impact.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions.
• Design, build and deploy full-stack applications integrating data and AI.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Field Engineering for a seamless journey.
