Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers across EMEA, delivering production-grade data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of two+ cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems and reference architectures.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions ensuring secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and deliver outcomes.
• Provide feedback to product and support to improve engagements and resolve issues.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges from technical ICs to executives.
• Develop accelerators, frameworks and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
