Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers across EMEA, leading data, AI, and application development on the Databricks platform. You’ll own architecture and drive end-to-end delivery, from data pipelines to ML/AI model integration, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize value.

You will embed with customer teams, champion best practices, and contribute reusable accelerators to scale impact across accounts.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of production end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Production Solution Delivery: lead production-grade systems and reference architectures for customers.
• Transformational Impact: guide customers through end-to-end big data projects from design to deployment.
• Empower Customers: advise on architecture and enable customer adoption of Databricks solutions.
• Own the Architecture: steer architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, PMs and customer teams to deliver required technical components.
• Provide feedback to product teams and support channels to resolve engagement issues.
