Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to embed with strategic customers and design bespoke full‑stack solutions on the Databricks platform and common stacks. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver production-ready systems spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and user interfaces.

This role emphasizes strong engineering depth, customer immersion, and cross‑functional collaboration, with travel to client sites up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering across backend, frontend, and systems integration.
• Experience designing, building and deploying production applications combining data pipelines and AI models.
• Familiarity with AI APIs and AI code generation tools to accelerate development.
• Proven track record delivering technical solutions in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring secure and scalable solutions.
• Design, build and deploy end-to-end applications on customer sites.
• Deliver production-grade systems from data ingestion to AI model integration and UI.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Field Engineering for a seamless customer journey.
• Contribute accelerators and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
