Job description

What's the role?

We're looking for confident and customer-centric individuals to join our close-knit Customer Service team here at Hilti. If you’re an experienced customer service professional seeking your next challenge and eager to grow within customer service to become an expert in the team, we look forward to receiving your application!

In our Customer Service team, we deliver exceptional service to our customers by resolving inbound queries, offering solutions, and building strong customer relationships.

The role involves working a varied shift pattern between 8am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Our Regional Head Office is located at Circle Square in Central Manchester, a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop.

What does the role involve?
  1. Processing all calls and emails from internal and external customers efficiently and professionally.
  2. Building orders and cross-selling using a solution-based approach to address customer needs.
  3. Providing support to customers on technical products and equipment.
  4. Supporting field-based personnel by identifying sales opportunities and generating leads for the sales team.
  5. Ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date information on internal systems.
  6. Participating in a thorough 8-week onboarding plan, followed by continued development and coaching over 12 months.
  7. The onboarding includes 4 weeks of classroom training and 4 weeks of intensive support and hands-on training.

What you need is:
  1. Excellent customer service skills, gained within a call-centre environment.
  2. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  3. Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office and Internet, with adaptability to new IT systems.
  5. The ability to quickly adapt to new information and challenges.
  6. A strong track record of applying new skills and knowledge efficiently.
