IKEA Exeter is inviting a Customer Service Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll be the welcoming face and supportive voice that helps turn challenges into solutions and visitors into lifelong fans.

This part-time weekend role offers £13.45 per hour, with 12 hours per weekend (Sat and Sun) and flexibility to fit life and business needs. Working with a global brand based on simplicity and sustainability, you’ll make every guest feel valued.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 31st October 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 12 hours working 2 days per week weekend only Saturday & Sunday. With availability to work between sat 9am - 8.30pm & Sun 10.15-5.30pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• You prefer to take initiative, are adept at managing several responsibilities concurrently, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision.
• You have a customer-first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do, always bringing positivity and professionalism to help.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
• The ability to maintain composure and poise when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Working on our checkouts and returns desk to support customers in a timely manner, ensuring precise cash handling, transaction accuracy, and a customer focused understanding
• Greeting and welcoming customers with warmth to set the tone for a great day of shopping
• Use your knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with any issues raised.
• Ensure accurate handling of all returned products, highlighting and escalating any product issues immediately.
