Hertfordshire Libraries is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for weekend work at St Albans Library. You will deliver excellent customer service, provide IT support, help users locate information and resources, and assist with library activities.
You will log and search information on library systems, issue and return books, tidy shelves, and work as part of a friendly team in a busy public service. This permanent, weekend-only role (Saturdays/Sundays) offers a starting salary of £26,016 with
Starting Salary: £26,016 opportunity to progress to £26,427 per annum (pro rata for part time)

St Albans Library is the busiest library in Hertfordshire, with a large and friendly team providing services to a diverse community. This role is a weekend-only post, with the successful candidate working (Saturdays/Sundays) only. Please refer to the attached rota for details.
The role of Customer Service Assistant is varied and directly contributes to the success of our libraries through working collaboratively to deliver excellent customer service, IT support, information services and resources to our library users and assisting with ad hoc library activities as required.
You will be a friendly and confident person who is happy to work in a customer facing role. You will be competent using computer packages for logging and searching for information. You will be organised and comfortable in assisting customers to issue and return books and tidying shelves.
You will have a positive and flexible attitude, and the skills and abilities to successfully interact with customers, completing tasks to deadlines and problem solve, engaging senior colleagues when appropriate.
