Hertfordshire Libraries are recruiting a Customer Service Assistant in Hemel Hempstead. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, IT support and information services to library users, with duties including issuing and returning books and maintaining shelves.

The role of Customer Service Assistant is varied and directly contributes to the success of our libraries through working collaboratively to deliver excellent customer service, IT support, information services and resources to our library users and assisting with ad hoc library activities as required.
You will be a friendly and confident person who is happy to work in a customer facing role.
You will be competent using computer packages for logging and searching for information.
You will be organised and comfortable in assisting customers to issue and return books and tidying shelves.
Flexible and assist with library activities as required.
You will have a positive and flexible attitude, and the skills and abilities to successfully interact with customers, completing tasks to deadlines and problem solve, engaging senior colleagues when appropriate.
You will be joining a creative team and have the opportunity for involvement in events. No one day is the same and having a positive and flexible attitude is important to this role.
