Job summary

The Best Connection Bolton is recruiting on behalf of our long-standing client, a leading logistics company that supplies one of the UK's largest supermarket chains. We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their busy team, liaising with stores, transport teams, and customers to ensure a first-class service at all times.

The role involves handling inquiries via phone and email, data entry, and using MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, customer support, or logistics administration experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Ability to handle complaints and challenging situations professionally.
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and internal systems.
• Communicate with various customer sites and departments to resolve queries efficiently.
• Handle customer issues, complaints, and service challenges professionally and effectively.
• Investigate problems, identify solutions, and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with stores, transport teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately document customer interactions, queries, and resolutions.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Carry out data input and administrative tasks whilst ensuring attention to detail at all times.
