Job summary

Intertek in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Customer Services & Logistics Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our laboratory. You will act as a central point of contact for customers, drivers and internal teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery and efficient processes.

This role provides development opportunities across customer services, logistics coordination and laboratory operations within a global organisation, with emphasis on accuracy, communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or background in logistics/administration is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Coordinate customer sample collections with drivers and logistics teams.
• Generate and distribute laboratory reports to customers.
• Coordinate consumables and sampling equipment deliveries.
• Monitor and track consumable deliveries to meet service commitments.
• Maintain accurate customer records and databases.
• Support stock control and consumables management processes.
• Support reporting requirements and customer feedback initiatives.

Job description

You may come from a customer service, logistics, transport coordination, administration or laboratory support background and will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, resolving customer queries and maintaining accurate records., As a Customer Services & Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Stoke laboratory. Acting as a central point of contact for customers, drivers and internal teams, you will help ensure exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop a career in customer services, logistics coordination and laboratory operations while working within a global organisation. Key activities:

• Manage incoming customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Coordinate customer sample collections with drivers and logistics teams.
• Generate and distribute laboratory reports to customers.
• Coordinate consumables and sampling equipment deliveries.
• Monitor and track consumable deliveries to ensure service commitments are met.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records and database information.
• Support stock control and consumables management processes.
• Produce bespoke customer reports and support reporting requirements.
• Support customer feedback and satisfaction initiatives.
• Work closely with Laboratory Operations, Quality, Finance, Logistics and Business Development teams.
• Participate in quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
  You will be a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. You will be confident communicating with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring operational activities run smoothly., Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Previous experience in customer service, administration, logistics or coordination roles.
• Experience within a laboratory, technical service or logistics environment would be advantageous.
